France has approved a revision of its ban on certain plastic
In recent years, the demand for disposable plastic products has increased rapidly, resulting in many unqualified disposable tableware manufacturers. The qualified disposable tableware should be of high quality and environmentally friendly. Many unscrupulous manufacturers produce disposable tableware. The products do not comply with laws and regulations.
January 1, 2021, the French Ministry of Ecological Transformation approved and issued Decree No. 2020-1828, amending the ban on certain single-use plastic products. The decree took effect on January 1, 2021. The following is the key content:
1. The prohibition on disposable plastic products also applies to plastic products whose durability, resistance and strength are equivalent to those of disposable plastic products.
2. After July 3, 2021, the ban on single-use plastic products will also apply to their packaging.
3. For single-use plastic products manufactured or imported before January 1, 2021: The ban date for such plastic products is January 1, 2021, but their inventory is allowed to circulate until July 1, 2021. However, this inventory disposal period does not apply to products that are banned after July 3, 2021.
